Drawer Organizer Trays – Standard covered trays never fit the cutlery pieces exactly. Because they are made to accommodate large pieces of silver, space is often wasted in too large or too long compartments. These large cavities also allow the cutlery to move, causing scratches. Design a custom drawer that can safely and attractively hold your cutlery. Lift and gently pull out your current cutlery drawer to remove it from its runners.
Place it on a flat surface. Remove the cutlery and any tray organizer for kitchen containing the pieces and set them aside. Measure the inside dimensions of the drawer. Use these measurements to draw a contour on the butcher paper or ship using a pencil and ruler. Cut the box outline. Unroll an additional length of the paper. Select a single piece of silver for each type of cutlery, such as a spoon, a knife, fork, salad or butter, and put it on paper. Draw a rectangle around each piece of silver with a ruler to make straight lines.

Remove each piece of silver from the paper. Write the name of the corresponding piece of cutlery in the rectangle. Cut each of the forms. Place the cut out rectangles on the top of the drawer organizer trays-shaped paper outline. Align the rectangles in the same direction, whenever possible, and similar group types of cutlery together. During the process of building your cutlery drawer organizer, sections will be separated by ¼ inch wide sections of wood. Leave spaces in this wide between each of the rectangles.
